Never Back Down (aka NBD): How it came to be
NBD all started as an idea; Dougie T (aka Dougalicious) had worked as a producer/slash songwriter since Dec of 2008. He worked at all types of studios dealing with hip hop, pop, alternative, rock bands/artist and learning how the music industries worked. In July of 09 he heard the first song he ever produce on the radio. Dougie T was shocked and very proud all at the same time. Something he made on his own is being listened to by people all over his neighborhood was an amazing feeling; the only problem is he didn’t get any recoginition from the studio and the artist he helped. Realizing that he was taken advantage of he went to his long time and musicly talented friend Joe to da Pea and told him of his idea to start or own music label. Joe was in. They had no idea what they were getting themselves into. Dougalicious ended up coming up with the name NEVER BACK DOWN. He figured they’ll help promote and manage groups until they have the proper equipment to produce and record and sell in mass quantity, and as for now that is what they are doing.
